A correct diagnosis is reached, also, after the administration of laboratory tests to rule out other possible causes, such as Diabetes, Viral infections, Hypothyroidism, etc. This is known as a diagnosis of exclusion – i.e. A diagnosis reached after all other possible illnesses have been excluded. If you do not have such a diagnosis you should consult your GP and ask for an investigation.
